Curriculum Workshop
The development of science and technology today, has brought very rapid changes in various aspects of life, many new jobs have emerged with different competencies, causing universities to carry out learning transformations to be able to produce superior and competitive Higher Education graduates. Efforts that need to be made by Universities and Study Programs to respond to these changes are curriculum adjustments.

Along with the issuance of policies from the Minister of Education and Culture, Research and Technology as well as efforts to prepare the Independent Learning Independent Campus (MBKM) learning system, Samarinda State Agricultural Polytechnic held a Curriculum Development and Preparation of Academic Manuscripts for the Independent Study Program Curriculum - Independent Campus on Friday (9 November 2021) located in the Ballroom on the 5th floor of the Harris Hotel, with the Resource Person for Deputy Director 1 for Academic Affairs Dr. Heriad Daud Salusu, S.Hut.,MP.

The activity, which was held for a day while still observing the health protocol, was attended by the Director, Deputy Directors 1,2,3 and 4, representatives from the company PT. Sentosa Kalimantan Jaya and followed by Lecturers who are the proposing team appointed by each study program. Approximately 60 people attended.
This workshop was officially opened by the Director of Samarinda State Agricultural Polytechnic Hamka S.TP., M.Sc., MP. In his speech, Hamka stated that the current curriculum has not changed, only that it has been adjusted to the existence of the independent learning-campus (MBKM) policy. Adjustments Curriculum changes in universities are routine activities that must be carried out in response to scientific developments and the needs of society and graduate users. he said.

It was further stated that the MBKM directed by the Ministry of Education and Culture aims to encourage students to master various sciences that are useful for entering the world of work, with this MBKM providing opportunities for students to choose the courses they are interested in.  In addition, on this occasion Hamka also conveyed the support from stakeholders PT. Sentosa Kalimantan Jaya (PT. SKJ) which has signed a memorandum of understanding (Memorandum of Agreement) to cooperate in the management of productive oil palm area of ​​30 hectares which is intended for internships, research and service for students and lecturers, and PLP hopefully with this collaboration the quality of education in Politany is even better. he said
Meanwhile, Deputy Director I for Academic Affairs Dr. Heriad Daud Salusu, S.Hut.,MP. also said that the MBKM Workshop activity was very important to be carried out as a step to address the policy on Independent Learning of the Independent Campus (MBKM) and it was necessary to think about how to implement it in the existing learning curriculum. he concluded.
