Industrial Internship 2 Briefing – Plantation Management Study Program, Politani Samarinda
Samarinda – The Plantation Management Study Program at the Samarinda State Agricultural Polytechnic (Politani Samarinda) held an orientation session for the "Industrial Internship 2" program on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at the campus's General Lecture Hall. The event aimed to comprehensively prepare students before they enter the plantation industry. It was officially opened by the Head of the Plantation Management Study Program, Dr. Sukariyan, S.Hut., M.P., who emphasized the importance of internships as a bridge between theory and practice and encouraged students to become agents of change who uphold the principles of sustainable plantation management.

The first speaker was Ir. Asmirilda, M.P., Head of the Sustainable Plantation Division at the East Kalimantan Provincial Plantation Office, who discussed the transformation of the plantation sector toward a green economy aligned with ecological and social considerations. The second session featured Abdul Fattah from PT Telaga Prima Agro, who provided practical insights into work culture, plantation management, and the real-world challenges students will face during their internships.

The orientation session—a mandatory part of the study program's curriculum—was interactive and enthusiastic, aiming to ensure students are not only technically and mentally prepared but also capable of building professional networks before joining partner companies. The event concluded with a lively Q&A session, signaling the students' readiness to apply the knowledge they had gained to the plantation industry in a practical and responsible manner.
