The Indonesian Ministry of Law and Human Rights made a visit to the Politani Samarinda KI Center to evaluate Electronic Intellectual Property Application Services
Samarinda (13/03/2024). The Legal Policy and Human Rights Strategy Agency (BSK Kemenkumham) sent its team to the Samarinda Politani Intellectual Property (KI) Center to collect field data related to analysis of the implementation of policies for electronic intellectual property application services. This visit aims to inventory needs and evaluate the existing system.

Mr Rodes Ober Adi Guna Pardosi, SH, a First Expert Legal Analyst from BSK Kemenkumham, led the team. Their arrival was warmly welcomed by the Director of Politani Samarinda, Mr. Hamka, S.TP, MP, M.Sc, and the Head of P3KM Politani Samarinda, Mrs. Andi Lisnawati, SP., M.Si. Secretary of the Samarinda Politani KI Center, Mr. Reza Andrea, S.Kom., M.Kom, explained that although the electronic service system for KI management provided by the government is quite good, notifications regarding revisions or improvements often take quite a long time. This is an obstacle, especially for lecturers who have many additional duties on campus.

However, he emphasized that the DJKI system, which is the KI database for all of Indonesia, can now be accessed online easily and has been integrated with the Ministry of Education and Culture's SINTA. This makes it easier for lecturers to access data for the purposes of fulfilling BKD and managing functional ranks. It is hoped that this visit will provide valuable input for the government in improving the efficiency and effectiveness of electronic intellectual property application services throughout Indonesia. (HUMAS/P)
