SAMARINDA (05/09/2026) — A blend of festivity and emotion filled the Ballroom of Hotel Bumi Senyiur, Samarinda, on Saturday (September 5, 2026). The Samarinda State Agricultural Polytechnic (Politani Samarinda) held its 36th Graduation Ceremony, marking a new chapter for hundreds of outstanding young men and women who have completed their studies at the campus.

From early morning, the hotel—situated along the banks of the Mahakam River—was bustling with graduates clad in academic regalia and flower garlands, accompanied by families who had come to witness this long-awaited moment. Pride was clearly visible on the faces of parents who had traveled from various parts of East Kalimantan to see their children receive their new degrees.

The official proceedings began with an Open Senate Meeting, marking the formal opening of the highest academic forum at Politani Samarinda. A solemn atmosphere prevailed as the entire audience stood in unison to sing the national anthem, *Indonesia Raya*, followed by a prayer invoking blessings and success for the graduates in their future careers. After the prayer, the event moved to the official opening session, highlighted by performances of traditional East Kalimantan dances.

ENVIRONMENT AND FORESTRY DEPARTMENT KICKS OFF DIPLOMA PRESENTATION
Moving to the core agenda, the Environment and Forestry Department was the first to participate in the diploma presentation procession. The Head of the Environment and Forestry Department, Dr. Abdul Rasyid Zarta, S.Hut., MP, took the podium to symbolically present diplomas to representatives of the department's graduates, before the graduates were called to the stage one by one. The reading of the graduates' names was conducted in turn by the respective study program coordinators under the department, namely:

Forest Product Processing Study Program — read by the Coordinator, Dr. Erina Hertianti, S.Hut., MP

AGRICULTURE DEPARTMENT CONTINUES GRADUATION PROCESSION
Following the conclusion of the procession for the Environment and Forestry Department, it was the Agriculture Department's turn to continue the graduation agenda. The Head of the Agriculture Department, Dr. Ahmad Zamroni, S.Hut., MP, personally led the diploma presentation ceremony for the graduates under his department.
Three study programs graduated their students during this session, with the graduates' names read by the respective study program coordinators as follows:

ENGINEERING AND COMPUTER DEPARTMENT CONCLUDES DIPLOMA PRESENTATION
The Engineering and Computer Department took the stage, led by the Head of Department, Dr. Suswanto, M.Pd. Unlike the two preceding departments, this technology-focused department had only two study programs graduating students during this period:
Geomatics Technology Study Program — presented by the Program Coordinator, A. Arifin Itsnani, S.M., S.Si., M.T.
Software Engineering Technology Study Program — presented by the Program Coordinator, Asep Nurhuda, S.Kom., M.Kom.

AWARDS FOR TOP GRADUATES
Once the diploma presentation proceedings for all three departments were concluded, the event moved to the presentation of awards to the top graduates from each study program. The top graduates were called up one by one to receive awards in recognition of the academic achievements they had attained during their studies. This moment was met with thunderous applause and served as motivation for other students currently pursuing their education at Politani Samarinda.

The subsequent remarks were delivered by a representative of the Governor of East Kalimantan, the Expert Staff for Bureaucratic Reform and Regional Finance, Ms. Ir. Siti Farisyah Yana, M.Si., conveyed the provincial government's appreciation for Politani Samarinda's contribution to producing high-quality human resources across the agriculture, forestry, plantation, and technology sectors.

The event continued with remarks from the Chairman of the Indonesian Polytechnic Directors Forum, Ahyar Muhammad Diah, S.E., M.M., Ph.D., who also serves as the Director of the Samarinda State Polytechnic. In his address, he emphasized the importance of synergy among polytechnics in Indonesia to meet the challenges of an evolving workforce and congratulated all Politani Samarinda graduates on their achievements.
Concluding the series of speeches, the Director of the Samarinda State Agricultural Polytechnic, Hamka, took the podium to share his message and hopes with the graduates.
