SAMARINDA (29/07/2026) – The Samarinda State Agricultural Polytechnic (Politani Samarinda) held a farewell ceremony for students undergoing Industrial Internships in the courtyard of the campus Directorate on Wednesday, July 29, 2026. The event, attended by students who will be departing for various plantation companies and partner agencies in East Kalimantan and the surrounding area, is part of the implementation of a vocational curriculum that prioritizes hands-on experience in the business and industrial world.
Acting as the ceremony instructor and leading the farewell ceremony was Politani Samarinda Director Hamka, S.TP., M.Sc., MP. In his address, he officially sent off the students to enter the workforce, emphasizing that industrial internships are not merely academic obligations, but also a golden opportunity to hone competencies, understand company dynamics, and build professional networks. The Director also advised students to always uphold the good name of their alma mater, adhere to the rules and culture of the company where they are interning, and prioritize occupational safety and health while on site.
The ceremony took place solemnly, with a series of student pledges recited and a prayer for the smooth running and safety of all internship participants. The event concluded with a handshake session, both as a symbol of farewell and as a token of moral support from the academic community. With the departure of these students, it is hoped that they will take home valuable experiences and apply the knowledge they have gained, so that they will graduate competitively and contribute to the development of the plantation sector in East Kalimantan.
