SAMARINDA (28/10/2026) — The Samarinda State Agricultural Polytechnic (Politani Samarinda) held a ceremony to commemorate the 98th Youth Pledge Day (Hari Sumpah Pemuda) on Wednesday, October 28, 2026. The ceremony was conducted solemnly, with students serving in all official roles, while the Director of Politani Samarinda, Dr. Heriad Daud Salusu, S.Hut., MP, presided as the ceremony inspector.
The ceremony commenced at 08:00 WITA (Central Indonesian Time) on the campus grounds. All personnel—from the ceremony commander and flag-raisers to those reciting the Pancasila and the 1945 Constitution, as well as the choir—were students who had undergone prior training. The involvement of students in these roles underscored the spirit of leadership and the active participation of the younger generation in this historic milestone.
In his address, Dr. Heriad Daud Salusu delivered a message from the Minister of Youth and Sports, which centered on the theme: “Patriotic, Tenacious, Empathetic: Youth for Indonesia.” He emphasized that the spirit of the 1928 Youth Pledge must remain relevant, particularly for students as the next generation who will contribute to the agricultural sector and regional development.
The ceremony followed guidelines set by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology, featuring the hoisting of the Red and White flag, the reading of the 1928 Indonesian Youth Congress resolution, the singing of the songs “Bangun Pemudi Pemuda” and “Satu Nusa Satu Bangsa,” and a closing prayer. Attendees included faculty members, administrative staff, and student representatives from various study programs.
Heriad, who recently assumed the position of Director of Politani Samarinda for the 2026–2030 term, expressed his appreciation to the students who served in the ceremony. According to him, the conduct of the ceremony by students reflects practical learning regarding discipline, responsibility, and nationalism within the vocational campus environment.(HUMAS)
