Politani Samarinda Solemnly Observes the 81st Anniversary of Indonesia's Independence; Several Lecturers Receive Promotion Decrees to the Rank of *Lektor*
SAMARINDA (17/08/2026) — The Samarinda State Agricultural Polytechnic (Politani Samarinda) held a solemn ceremony to commemorate the 81st Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia's Independence at the Politani Samarinda Directorate Field on Sunday (August 17, 2026). The ceremony was attended by the leadership, lecturers, educational staff, and the wider academic community, as well as the incoming class of 2026 students. The flag-raising ceremony was led personally by the Director of Politani Samarinda, acting as the ceremony inspector. The raising of the Red and White flag was a highly anticipated highlight, featuring a flag-raising team composed of Government Employees with Work Agreements (P3K) from within Politani Samarinda. The team’s performance proceeded smoothly and earned appreciation from all attendees.

The ceremony maintained an orderly and solemn atmosphere from start to finish, reflecting a spirit of nationalism and gratitude for the independence the Indonesian nation has enjoyed for 81 years. In addition to the flag-raising proceedings, the 81st Independence Day commemoration served as the occasion for presenting official appointment decrees (SK) regarding functional rank promotions—specifically to the rank of *Lektor* (Lecturer)—to several faculty members at Politani Samarinda. These decrees were presented symbolically by the Director of Politani Samarinda before the entire assembly.

This series of 81st Independence Day activities at Politani Samarinda served as a moment for the entire academic community to strengthen the spirit of nationalism while fostering improvements in the quality of human resources within the campus environment. The combination of state ceremonial proceedings and the recognition of lecturers' academic achievements reflects Politani Samarinda's commitment to building an excellent and competitive vocational education institution. The ceremony concluded with a joint prayer, seeking blessings and progress for both Politani Samarinda and the Indonesian nation as a whole. (HUMAS)
