The State Agricultural Polytechnic (Politani) of Samarinda has held a Training and Assessment for Lecturer Workload Assessors (BKD), an activity that takes place offline and online for a day, Tuesday (11/23/2021) at the Harris Hotel Samarinda. This activity was attended by the Director of Politani, Deputy Director 1 Politani Dr. Heriad Daud, Salusu, Deputy Director 1 of Cilacap State Polytechnic, Deputy Director 1 of Balikpapan State Polytechnic, lecturers and assessors.
This training was officially opened by the Director of Politani Hamka, S.TP., M.Sc., MP. by presenting the resource person Dr. Zainal Arief, S.T., M.T. and a team from the Directorate of Institutional and Vocational Higher Education Resources. In his speech, Hamka said that the purpose of this activity was to improve the ability of BKD assessors in conducting assessments correctly and responsibly and the most important thing was to equalize perceptions regarding the procedure for assessing Lecturer Workloads according to the BKD Operational Guidelines (PO), as well as Politani requiring additional BKD assessors. and this activity is expected to be able to fill the gap. he said.
Meanwhile Deputy Director 1 for Academic Affairs Dr. Heriad Daud Salusu, S.Hut.,MP as the head of the event organizer said that the Lecturer Workload Assessor Training and Assessment (BKD) carried out by the Samarinda State Agricultural Polytechnic aims to meet the needs of BKD assessors while at the same time equalizing perceptions of lecturer performance assessments according to the PO-BKD issued by the Directorate General of Higher Education of the Ministry of Education and Culture No. 12/E/KPT/2021. “New assessors who pass will receive an Assessor Registration Identification Number (NIRA) from the Directorate General of Science and Technology and Higher Education Resources. he insisted.
This BKD assessor material was delivered by Dr. Zainal Arief who is a former director of PENS (Surabaya State Electronics Polytechnic) and also a former Chairperson of the Indonesian State Polytechnic Director Forum (FDPNI) who explained the Rubric and Matrix of Lecturer Workload Operational Guidelines (PO-BKD) Year 2021. In his presentation, it was stated that a Lecturer is a professional educator and scientist with the main task of transforming, developing, and disseminating science, technology, and art through education, research, and community service. Lecturer Workload (BKD) becomes an inseparable part of lecturer performance. Implementation of the lecturer's Tridharma College activities carried out every semester is assessed as lecturer's performance, which will later be evaluated.
