Samarinda 27/02/2023 - Samarinda State Agricultural Polytechnic (Politani Samarinda) held a Senate Meeting and voting to elect the Chair of the Samarinda Politani Senate for the 2023 – 2027 period which was opened by the Director of Politani Samarinda Hamka, S.TP., M.Sc., MP., in the Meeting Room on the 3rd floor of the Politani Samarinda Campus, Monday (27/02/2023).
In the senate meeting which was facilitated and opened by the Director of Politani Samarinda, then the process for electing the Senate Chair and Secretary of the Senate is in accordance with the Politani Samarinda Statute No.1 of 2019, where senate meetings are chaired by the oldest senate members and the youngest senate members. The election process for the chairman of the Senate is carried out by voting with 2 willing candidates, namely Mr. Dr. Syafi'i, MP and Dr. Sukariyan, S. Hut., MP. The Election Results Dr. Syafi'i outperformed the acquisition of more than one vote, namely 12 votes and 11 votes for Dr. Sukariyan, S.Hut. MP. of the total number of members of the senate present as many as 23 people. With this value means Dr. Syafi'i was named Head of the Politani Samarinda Senate for the 2023-2027 period and the Chairperson of the Senate appointed Dr. Erna Rositah, S.Hut, MP. as Secretary of the Politani Samarinda Senate for the 2023-2027 period.
From these results the Director of Politani Samarinda hopes that the Senate can do more in accordance with its duties and functions together with the Director to work together to advance Politani Samarinda, especially in the academic field. The Director also congratulated Dr. Ir. Shafi'i, MP. and Mrs. Dr. Erna Rositah, S.Hut, MP. who was elected as Chair and Secretary of the Politani Samarinda Senate for the 2023-2027 period.
