The PTN-KTI Consortium Working Meeting for the 2021 - 2023 period with the theme "Independence of PTNs in Eastern Indonesia in the Transformation and Implementation of the Independent Learning Program, Merdeka Campus" was held at the University of Borneo Tarakan (UBT) Tarakan on January 28-30, 2022.
This activity was attended by the Governor of North Kalimantan Drs. H. Zainal Arifin Paliwang, S.H., M.Hum, UBT Chancellor Prof. Dr. Adri Patton, M.Si. who is also the Chair of PTN-KTI, rectors/directors from other universities, including the Director of Agricultural Polytechnic (Politani) Samarinda Hamka S.TP., M.Sc., M.P and Deputy Director I for Academic Affairs Dr. Heriad Daud Salusu, S.Hut.,M.P. The activity which lasted for two days was officially opened by the Governor of North Kalimantan (Kaltara) Drs. H. Zainal Arifin Paliwang, S.H., M. Hum. The Governor of Kaltara warmly welcomed the invited guests, as many as 30 more invited guests who were the leaders of Universities in Eastern Indonesia were present at the PTN-KTI consortium this year.
The working meeting held by PTN-KTI in 2021-2023 this time focused on the Merdeka Learning program for the Merdeka Campus and the 8 Main Work Indicators (IKU). In addition, the PTN-KTI consortium also aims to strengthen relations between universities in Eastern Indonesia. , PTN which are located in Eastern Indonesia are an inseparable part of the national higher education system so that they are obliged to continue to develop the performance and quality of the implementation of their duties and functions and jointly promote higher education through the implementation of their respective missions and visions.
The implementation of this Working Meeting is urgently needed, considering that the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (Kemdikbudristek) has established a policy of Independent Learning for Independent Campuses (MBKM), through Kepmendikbud No. 3 of 2020 with nine activities that become the Main Performance Index (KPI) of higher education. This policy is in line with the demands of the development of science and technology as well as the development of social life of the community.
In addition, the objective of this Working Meeting is to strengthen the relationship and network of Universities in Eastern Indonesia through strategic collaboration and efforts to make the Ministry of Education and Technology's Independent Learning Campus Independent Program (MBKM) a success.
In the working meeting, the leaders of universities provide opinions and input and formulate things that need to be pursued to improve the implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, especially MBKM. (Humas/AL)
