SAMARINDA 06/05/2023. Two Politani Samarinda study programs, the D3 Forest Management Study Program (PH Study Program) and the D4 Study Program in Software Engineering Technology (TRPL Study Program), won the 2023 Vocational Competitive Fund from the Directorate of Institutional and Vocational Higher Education Resources of the Ministry of Education and Culture. This good news was conveyed directly by Deputy Director I Dr. Heriad Daud Salusu, S. Hut., MP. who attended the invitation to the Feasibility Evaluation of Proposals for the 2023 Vocational Competitive Fund Program at the REDTOP Hotel & Convention Center, Central Jakarta on Saturday (06/05/2023) to the Director of Politani Samarinda Hamka, S.TP., MP, M.Sc. A total of 35 Higher Education Institutions Organizing Vocational Education participated in this activity divided into several sessions from Friday - Sunday, 5 - 7 May 2023. 8 Colleges, one of which is Politani Samarinda, took part in Session 2 Saturday, 6 May 2023, 13.00 - 17.00 WIB.

The amount of the grant is Rp. for the PH Study Program. 628,392,000, - and TRPL Study Program Rp. 731,662,000, - so that the total funding for Politani is Rp. 1.360.054.000,-. Plus the MBKM System Funding of Rp. 109,000,000,-. So that the total grant amount is Rp. 1.469.054.000,-. Competitive fund for vocational grants can be interpreted as funds given to vocational education programs that submit competitive proposals and meet the set criteria. This fund aims to support the development of innovative and effective vocational education programs in preparing graduates to enter the world of work.

For this achievement, the Director of Politani Samarinda Hamka, S.TP., M.Sc., MP and the members of the Politani Samarinda academic community expressed their appreciation for the efforts, cooperation and hard work of the entire team, both the PH Study Program team and the TRPL Study Program team, starting from the process preparing proposals, responding quickly to repairing documents to qualify for funding. In accordance with the mandate of Law 12 of 2012 article 16 paragraph 1, that vocational higher education has an important role in preparing human resources who have technical skills according to industry needs.
Vocational higher education has the responsibility to prepare human resources who have certain practical competencies. It is hoped that the superiority of HR competencies will increase the nation's competitiveness, which can be measured by the level of readiness for work and the absorption of its graduates. Based on this description, the Government through the Ministry of Education and Culture launched the 2023 Competitive Fund Program with the theme "Program to Improve Employability of Vocational Higher Education Graduates (PPKL-PTV)."
