Samarinda 05/08/2023. Politani Samarinda through the collaboration of lecturers and students from the Software Engineering Technology study program (TRPL) has successfully developed Smart Farming in Kutai Kartanegara Regency. The activity, which started from the assembly stage in early July 2023 until the implementation of the Training and Socialization of the Implementation of the Digital Farming Cluster for Food Security on August 5 2023, aims to introduce farmers to the importance of soil automation and monitoring systems for plant growth through the use of technology to achieve productivity, efficiency, and sustainability in the agricultural sector in the village.

The Smart Farming system needs to be developed considering the importance of monitoring and controlling agricultural crops, especially those located in the Subur Makmur Loa Sugarcane cluster so that the management of agricultural crops is easy to find soil nutrients and agricultural areas such as wind speed, pH, N, P & K, humidity and temperature. air. In addition, there is also a water pump controller with a power of up to 7,500 watts. This activity was carried out well through the full support of Bank Indonesia and the Kutai Kartanegara Regency Agriculture Service where the Samarinda Politani Team consisted of lecturers namely Eko Junirianto, S.Kom., M.Cs., Syafei Karim, S.Kom., M.Kom., Imron, S.Pd., M.Eng., and students namely Risman Ilyas, Faizal, Arman. The farmers who participated in this activity were Mr. Suharsimin and his team. Through this activity, Eko hopes that the development of smart farming can continue and produce other innovations that can support agriculture and business in East Kalimantan. (HUMAS/P)
