SAMARINDA (11/08/2026) – The election process for the Director of the Samarinda State Agricultural Polytechnic (Politani Samarinda) for the 2026–2030 term took place on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, at the Politani Samarinda campus. The election, conducted in a solemn atmosphere, involved three candidates and was attended by a representative from the Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education, who also cast a vote.
Prior to the election stage, the three candidates had undergone a rigorous screening process. Based on the document verification results announced by the Politani Samarinda Senate on June 11, 2026, four prospective candidates met the administrative requirements: Dr. Abdul Rasyid Zarta, S.Hut., M.P.; Dr. Heriad Daud Salusu, S.Hut., M.P.; Husmul Beze, S.Hut., M.Si.; and Yulianto, S.Kom., M.MT. This process took place from April to June 2026.
However, in the election held on August 11, 2026, three candidates proceeded to the vote:

2. Dr. Heriad Daud Salusu, S.Hut., M.P. – second candidate
3. Yulianto, S.Kom., M.MT – third candidate
The presence of the Minister's representative was a crucial part of the process in accordance with applicable regulations, as the representative's vote carries weight in determining the election outcome. Following a democratic election process, Dr. Heriad Daud Salusu, S.Hut., M.P. was officially elected as the Director of Politani Samarinda for the 2026–2030 term, securing 23 votes. Meanwhile, Dr. Abdul Rasyid Zarta, S.Hut., MP received 12 votes, while Yulianto, S.Kom., M.MT received 0 votes.
