Samarinda (12/03/2023). Politani Samarinda succeeded in moving up the cluster from the Fostered (Pratama) cluster to the main cluster. The increase in this cluster is based on the Decree of the Director of Research, Technology and Community Service Number 0241/E5/DT.06.01/2023 dated 28 February 2022 concerning Determination of Higher Education Clusterization based on Research Performance and Community Service.
The clustering of higher education institutions in 2023 is based on the results of processing SINTA-based higher education performance data in the period 2019 to 2021. The calculated performance data is data that has been verified and validated by the verifier of the Higher Education Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM). The performance data includes authors, affiliations, journals, research, community service, intellectual property rights, and books.
The Ministry of Education and Culture uses SINTA (Science and Technology Index) as a database in determining the clustering of these higher education institutions. SINTA is a research and community service performance measurement system used by the Ministry of Research and Technology and various other research institutions. In the period measured, Politani Samarinda managed to show a significant increase in performance, especially in the field of research and community service.
A total of 880 PTN and PTS in the cluster of Higher Education Providers for Academic Education and 162 Institutions in the cluster for Higher Education Organizing Vocational Education. Politani Samarinda is included in the main cluster with 32 other Polytechnics throughout Indonesia. This is of course encouraging because the performance improvement of Politani Samarinda is in line with Mulawarman University in the field of research and community service.
Politani Samarinda Director Hamka, S.TP., M.Sc., MP expressed his gratitude for the increase in the higher education cluster he leads even though the original target was the Middle cluster. The Director did not forget to express his gratitude especially to the P3KM team, namely the Head of the P3KM Center Dr. Andi Lisnawati, SP., M.Si, Secretary of P3KM Reza Andrea, S.Kom., M.Kom., and Dr. Rudito STP., MP and the entire Politani academic community for the achievements achieved as a result of the hard work and cooperation so far. The Director hopes that from the participation and collaboration of the entire academic community, they will continue to improve themselves in conducting research and publications so that the increase in publications at SINTA will have a better value.
