Samarinda, November 8, 2025 – The Information and Computer Technology Academic Implementation Unit (UPA TIK) of the Samarinda State Agricultural Polytechnic successfully held a Public Relations Seminar on Saturday, November 8, 2025, themed "Understanding the Basics of Photography and Videography." The event, held in the Politani Samarinda Public Lecture Room, was enthusiastically attended by dozens of students and several lecturers. The seminar aimed to provide basic skills and knowledge in photography and videography. This is considered crucial for supporting documentation and publication tasks, as well as providing a foundation for the digital, visual-driven campus environment.

Welcomes were delivered by UPA TIK Puspita Sari, SE., M.Pd., and Deputy Director 3 of Student Affairs Husmul Beze, S.Hut., M.Si., who stated that as parties directly involved with student activities, they welcomed this initiative. He believes the capacity of seminars like this needs to be further enhanced, particularly those on photography and videography. He hopes the knowledge gained will not only be confined to the seminar but will also be utilized in daily activities at the Samarinda State Agricultural Polytechnic. The ability to produce quality visual content is a valuable asset.

The event featured Djohan Nur, also known as Bang Jojo, a photography and videography practitioner working for Tribun Kaltim, as the sole speaker. With a straightforward and easy-to-understand style, Djohan successfully guided participants through a variety of fundamental topics, from an introduction to camera functions (DSLR, Mirrorless, and Smartphone), the exposure triangle (ISO, Aperture, and Shutter Speed), composition techniques, and practical tips for capturing stable, storytelling videos.

The seminar wasn't limited to theory; it also included an interactive Q&A session where participants could directly ask questions about the tips provided using their own equipment. By holding this event, the Samarinda State Agricultural Polytechnic hopes to continue to spur the improvement of its academic community's competency, not only in academics but also in supporting skills relevant to current developments.
