SAMARINDA (03/07/2026) – Samarinda State Agricultural Polytechnic (Politani Samarinda) has reaffirmed its commitment to improving the quality of the implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education by appointing 28 lecturers as recipients of Internal Grant Funds in 2026. Based on the Decree of the Director of Samarinda State Agricultural Polytechnic Number 131/K13/LEP6/2026 dated June 19, 2026, funding was awarded to 14 Study Program Research proposals and 14 Study Program Community Service (PKM) proposals.
As a follow-up to this determination, the Center for Research and Community Service (P3KM) of Politani Samarinda held a research and community service contract signing ceremony on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, in the 3rd Floor Meeting Room of the Politani Samarinda Campus. The event began with remarks from the Director of Politani Samarinda, Hamka, S.TP., M.Sc., M.P. and Deputy Director 2, Eva Nurmarini, S.Hut., M.P., and officially opened by the Head of P3KM, Andi Lisnawati, S.P., M.Si., in the presence of all the lecturers receiving internal grants.
In her remarks, Andi Lisnawati stated that the contract signing was not merely an administrative task, but also a first step in realizing research and community service that has a real impact on society and contributes to the development of applied science. She also emphasized the importance of building cross-institutional synergy, strengthening research collaboration, and ensuring that each implemented program meets community needs and supports regional development.
The contract signing also demonstrates the institution's commitment to supporting the implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education. The lecturers receiving the grants expressed their readiness to implement the designed programs, ranging from food technology innovation, environmental engineering, artificial intelligence development, information technology, natural resource management, and community economic empowerment based on local potential.
This internal grant program is a strategic step by the institution to encourage innovation, applied research, and community service that can address various development challenges in the fields of agriculture, forestry, plantations, fisheries, the environment, food, digital technology, and the development of buffer zones for the Indonesian Capital City (IKN).
The funded research reflects the strength of Politani Samarinda's applied research, which is oriented towards innovation, sustainability, downstreaming of research results, utilization of digital technology, natural resource management, and support for the development of the Indonesian Capital City.
The Director of Politani Samarinda stated that the internal grant represents an institutional investment in building a productive, innovative, and impactful academic culture. This funding is expected to increase lecturer productivity in producing scientific publications, intellectual property rights (IPR), appropriate technology, innovation prototypes, and community empowerment models that can be widely implemented.
For the university, this program will strengthen the research ecosystem, improve the quality of research-based learning, expand collaborative networks with the government, business, and industry (DUDI), and enhance Politani Samarinda's competitiveness in obtaining research and community service grants at the national and international levels.
Meanwhile, for the community, the various research and Community Service Program (PKM) programs funded are expected to provide tangible benefits in the form of increased agricultural and plantation productivity, more sustainable environmental management, innovation-based local economic development, increased digital and financial literacy, utilization of appropriate technology, and support for the accelerated development of the buffer zone of the Indonesian Capital City.
