Tarakan, August 4, 2025 – The Samarinda State Agricultural Polytechnic (Politani Samarinda) once again demonstrated its commitment to supporting human resource development in the border region of North Kalimantan (Kaltara) by officially sending off prospective new students from the province. The event, which took place in the SMAN 1 Tarakan Hall, was attended by the Governor of North Kalimantan, Dr. H. Zainal A. Paliwang, S.H., M.Hum., as well as various representatives from the local government, the business community, and community organizations.
The Director of Politani Samarinda, Hamka, S.TP., M.Sc., M.P., in his statement emphasized that this collaboration demonstrates the synergy between vocational education institutions and the local government in producing a young generation who not only master science and technology but also care about sustainable development in their home region.
"We greatly appreciate the North Kalimantan Provincial Government's trust in Politani Samarinda. We are committed to developing students into experts with integrity, adaptability, and readiness to meet the challenges of regional development," he emphasized.
Echoing this sentiment, Deputy Director I of Politani Samarinda, Dr. Heriad Daud Salusu, S.Hut., MP., stated that the trust placed in the institution motivates the institution to continue improving the quality of vocational education. He added that the departure of students from North Kalimantan is not only an educational program but also a strategic step in preparing human resources capable of driving the growth of the agricultural and agro-industrial sectors in border areas.
