SAMARINDA (27/04/2026) – Samarinda State Agricultural Polytechnic (Politani Samarinda) officially established an international partnership through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Gansu Polytechnic College of Animal Husbandry and Engineering. This event was held as part of the 2026 Annual Conference of the China–Indonesia TVET Industry-Education Alliance (CITIES) on April 27–28, 2026, at the Innovation and Creativity Building (GIK), Gadjah Mada University, Yogyakarta.
The MoU was signed by the Director of Politani Samarinda, Hamka, S.TP., M.Sc., MP, along with representatives from the leadership of Gansu Polytechnic College of Animal Husbandry and Engineering. This agreement marks the commitment of both institutions to strengthening collaboration in vocational education, particularly in the livestock, agriculture, and applied technology sectors.
The scope of the collaboration includes academic program development, collaborative research, lecturer and student exchanges, as well as cultural activities and continuing education. This collaboration is expected to encourage improvements in the quality of industry-based learning while broadening the global perspectives of the Politani Samarinda academic community.
This collaboration is also designed to have a tangible impact, not only for the institution but also for the community. Through this synergy, it is hoped that appropriate innovations and technologies in the livestock and agricultural sectors will emerge that can be directly implemented to improve productivity and community welfare, particularly in East Kalimantan.
Politani Samarinda's participation in this international forum further strengthens its position as an adaptive and globally competitive vocational higher education institution. With this strategic partnership, Politani Samarinda is optimistic that it can continue to contribute to the development of superior human resources and support the advancement of the agricultural and livestock sectors in Indonesia.
