In order to attract new students in 2022, the Agricultural Polytechnic (Politani) Samarinda held a socialization of New Student Admissions (PMB) in the West Kutai area 7-11 March 2022. The PMB 2022 activity is almost the same as the previous year's PMB, namely Politani Samarinda using five admission channels, namely SNMPTN , SBMPTN, SNMPN, SBMPN and Independent Line.
To further introduce the campus and socialization related to PMB 2022 to students who will graduate from high school, the promotion team consisting of Dr. Andi Lisnawati, SP., M.Si from the Plantation Product Technology Study Program (THP) who is also the head of Public Relations along with Sri Ngapiatun SP., MSc. The Head of the Plantation Management Study Program (PP) carried out the promotion and socialization of PMB Politani for the Academic Year 2021/2022 to several schools in West Kutai. This is done as an effort to introduce one of the vocational colleges in East Kalimantan which can be a reference for students in choosing a place to study and to provide as many opportunities as possible for state children, especially in West Kutai to be able to study.
As one of the vocational universities in Indonesia, the Samarinda State Agricultural Polytechnic provides opportunities for SMA/SMK/MA graduates to study and gain knowledge as well as improve students' abilities and skills through strengthening product-based curriculum, independent learning curriculum and existing certification programs. In this socialization, the Promotion Team introduced the 4 Departments and 9 study programs at the Samarinda Politani which was established in 1989, including Plantation Management (PP) (D4), Software Engineering Technology (D4), Wood Engineering (RK), Technology Plantation Products (THP), Plantation Cultivation (BTP), Geomatics Technology (TG), Forest Management (PH), Environmental Management (PL), Forest Product Processing (PHH). In addition, this socialization also conveyed procedures for registration, as well as tuition fees which are relatively cheap or the lowest among other universities, but not cheap, said Andi Lisnawati.
It was further stated that the implementation of this socialization was to provide opportunities for state children, especially those who were about to finish school to be able to continue to a higher level, therefore the socialization of PMB Politani Samarinda in 2022 was targeted in all areas in East Kalimantan including West Kutai, such as Melak, Barong Tongkok, Melapeh and Linggang Bigun. This year's PMB system is the same as last year using an online system as well and the requirements are still using a portfolio, "Come Join Us." The most appropriate way to realize your dreams is to continue to a Vocational College, namely the Samarinda State Agricultural Polytechnic. (Humas/AL)
