SAMARINDA (21/07/2026) – The North Kalimantan Provincial Government (Pemprov Kaltara) paid an official visit to the Samarinda State Agricultural Polytechnic (Politani) on Tuesday (July 21, 2026). The visit, which took place on the second floor of the Samarinda Politani Directorate Building, aimed to follow up on strategic collaboration in vocational education, specifically regarding the distribution of the Kaltara Unggul Scholarship for North Kalimantan students studying at Politani Samarinda.
This collaboration is part of the Kaltara Provincial Government's commitment to developing superior and skilled human resources capable of managing the vast potential of the agriculture, plantation, and forestry sectors in border areas. Through the Kaltara Unggul Scholarship program, students from North Kalimantan are given the opportunity to pursue diploma (D3) and applied bachelor's (D4) degrees at Politani Samarinda.
The Director of Politani Samarinda, Hamka, S.TP., M.Sc., M.P., emphasized that his institution is committed to producing vocational graduates who not only master science and technology but also care about sustainable development in North Kalimantan. This program is a continuation of the synergy that has been established previously. In August 2025, the Governor of North Kalimantan, Dr. H. Zainal A. Paliwang, S.H., M.Hum., also attended the graduation ceremony for prospective new students from North Kalimantan who will study at Politani Samarinda.

With this program, the synergy between the regional government and vocational universities is expected to produce graduates who are professional, adaptable to technology, and ready to develop North Kalimantan from the downstream agricultural and forestry sectors. (HUMAS)
