This meeting was held for voting for all members of the senate and the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology . In this election process, all members of the Senate have 65 percent of the voting rights and the Ministry has 35 percent of the voting rights.
In the senate election meeting which was attended by 20 members of the senate and representatives from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia, Hamka won 22 votes, outperforming the other candidate, namely Ir. Hasanudin, MP with 6 votes and Dr. Abdul Rasyid Zarta, S. Hut, MP. 3 votes. The closed Senate trial decided that Hamka, S.TP., M.Sc., MP. was elected to return to lead the Samarinda State Agricultural Polytechnic for the second period of 2022-2026 who is currently also the incumbent director of the Samarinda Politani.
